Welcome Drinks

To welcome our guests who have travelled from near and far, we would love to extend an invitation to join us for welcome drinks the evening before the wedding.

From 4.30pm to 8:30pm, we will be enjoying tapas and drinks at Alfie’s, located at 32 Bowen Street (behind Goondiwindi Cotton).

Getting to and from Wedding

There is no parking at the venue

Getting There: As there is no parking available at the venue, we kindly request that you do not drive to the venue.

We have arranged complimentary buses for all guests. The buses will depart simultaneously at 1:30 pm, one from The Victoria Hotel and one from The Ascot Motel. Both buses will then travel to The Queensland hotel to collect the rest of our guests, departing at 1:50pm SHARP.

Please arrive at your chosen pick up location a few minutes before departure, as the buses will leave promptly.

Why not arrive at the pub a little early and enjoy one off the wood, catch up with family and friends. Leave the driving to us.

Getting Home: Once dinner and speeches have concluded, buses will run intermittently to take guests back to their accommodation or homes within Goondiwindi.

The last bus will depart at 12:30am, Taxi’s are also available until late.

No caravans at the venue

If you are attending the wedding and plan to stay in your caravan, we kindly ask that caravans are not parked at the venue.

Gifts

We appreciate everyone coming out to Goondiwindi for the celebration of our marriage. Your presence means the world to us and is all we ask for. However, if you insist on bringing us a gift, a wishing well will be available at the reception.

Kids

While we adore your little ones, we have chosen to keep our wedding a celebration for adults only (excluding babes in arms). We hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.

Recovery Brunch

Join us at Sarah’s parents house, The Obrist Residence, the day after the wedding from 10:00am onward for a boozy, laid back brunch! Our favourite local café, The Larder, will be serving breakfast, coffee and cocktails followed by a late lunch. Come for breakfast, lunch or enjoy it all - we can not wait to keep the celebrations going with you!
